“If it doesn’t have to do with love I’m not interested.” – Ettori Sottsass
Steve was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 40. Being an artist who uses his hands daily this was devastating. Listen to find out how Steve turned this terrible diagnosis around.
ENTREPRENEURIAL AH-HA MOMENT
A childhood trip to Art Center School of Design set in motion Steve’s decision to be an automotive designer. Later, after receiving a gift from the talented and famous car designer Freeman Thomas, Steve came up with the idea to create illustrations of people’s favorite automobiles.
Steve doesn’t consider his first car, a VW Rabbit, a real car. What he considers his first “real” car was a 1980 Porsche 911 SC Weissach Edition.
Steve works for the Advanced Design Group at General Motors and at night and weekends he owns S.A. Illustrations.
