Michael Arnolt is the son of Stanley H. Arnolt , the force behind several sports cars, including the legendary Arnolt-Bristol. In all, 142 Arnolts were built for the track and the street. The Greenwich Concours will be celebrating Arnolt cars including the Bertone-bodied Arnolt-MG, Arnolt-Bristol, Arnolt-Bentley and Arnolt-Aston Martin at this year’s event. Michael, a former journalist, left the field he loved to help his mother in the family business, 10 years after his father died.  He subsequently became involved in the startup of several private businesses.  His exercise and sport of choice is racquetball, and has competed at a state and national level.

  1. I grew up in Warsaw. Indiana and there was an Arnolt-Bristol showroom on Main Street. I’d ride my bike to it and ogle the cars and wondered what they were. Many years later, living in Minneapolis, I met Mike Arnolt thru a mutual friend. Then got to visit Mike’s garage in Indianapolis and see the red AB he was restoring. Mike is a great guy, very modest, doesn’t talk about his many accomplishments in varied fields.

  2. I fondly recall the first Arnolt Aston Martin I looked at in detail, the red beauty of Frank Opalka, Evanston, Illinois at the CCA / ACD event circa 1974. My mentor Raymond Wolff insisted I go and learn something.
Thanks Michael Arnolt for sharing the marque history! Greenwich Concours 2019 offers magic from A to Z, Arnolt to Zagato! Thanks also Michael G!
Great resource on Arnolt Astons is the personal website by Aston Club Registrar Tim Cottingham

  3. I have a list of all the Arnolt MGs and I try to keep track of them as they move around the world and I have one too.
