Moving Your Cheese

Your weekly Cars Yeah blog is back!

DR Rawson, a recent Cars Yeah guest, suggested the book Who Moved My Cheese by author Spencer Johnson. It is a book near and dear to my experiences and one that I gave both my children when they went off to college. The book is a timeless business classic using a simple parable to reveal profound truths about dealing with change.

“If they’d just stop moving The Cheese.”

When you change the way you look at something, your perspective on that thing changes. When you focus on the good, you get good back. Change is a challenge for many of us so consider thinking about change as something positive instead of fearing change.

Try this simple technique.

Next time you attend a car event, focus on those cars you wouldn’t normally spend time admiring. Say to yourself, as you look at that car “I like this because…” You may just find yourself admiring something you didn’t ever think you would, and now you’ve made a change. How refreshing!

Change allows a refreshing new approach in your life.

Exploring a fun and simple way to take fear and anxiety out of managing your future by turning change in to something fun will have a positive impact on your career, your relationships, and every aspect of your life.
