How do you become a person of interest? It is a combination of finely honed facets that make an individual shine bright. Here are a few characteristics to consider as you continue your quest.
Don’t be the same as others.
People that stand out are unique, driven, persistent, tenacious, and care little how others view them. You can learn from a few examples on the Cars Yeah Alumni list that include: Fireball Tim, David Grainger, and Linda Vaughn.
Build something larger than yourself.
Decide what your movement is and how you can make an impact beyond yourself. When you decide life’s not about your personal game but instead it is something much more impactful, you become much more interesting. A few shining examples are these four: Tim Medvetz, Loxley Browne, Stuart Sobek, and Kyle Petty.
Clearly and consistently articulate your point of view.
Be proud, be loud, and be opinionated and most of all never be dull. Become quotable, respectful, and spread your message with solid conviction and do it often. A few stellar examples include: Zeff Eisenberg, Christopher Pagani, and Amber Blonigan.
Become the media, don’t seek it out.
In today’s world it is easier than ever to be a mover, a shaker, a relationship-builder. Write, post, share, tell, give, and reach out. The world wants viable content as these three discovered: Jamei June, Will Buxton, and the late Jessi Combs.
You’ve got this. How interesting have you been today?
Love this! Thanks for the inspiration!
Nice focus Mark. I like that you link examples of guests who engage the traits you highlight. Also appreciate the fullness with which you encourage each of us to live. Life is more that ourselves, our work or our hobby (even if we are obsessed with cars). I am sharing this with my teenage grandsons for a little life counseling. Thanks for your commitment to find the best.
Cheers,
Thank you Wayne.
Short and to the point. Well done.
