Jeff Lane is the founder and Director of Lane Motor Museum, which opened in 2003. It is one of the few museums in the U.S. to specialize in European cars. The Lane is a working museum with the goal of maintaining and keeping all its vehicles in running order. Jeff was born in Romeo, Michigan, a mere 30 miles from Detroit, which at that time was the “Car Capital of the World.” His father, Gene Lane, started an automotive supply business in 1958. Jeff spent his youth in the family shop working on various motorcycle and car projects. The mission of Lane Motor Museum is to collect, preserve, document, and interpret an eclectic and technically interesting collection of cars and other transportation-related objects for the purposes of educating the public about the history of transportation.
