Rick Eberst’s love for cars began with drag racing when he was in junior high school. In eighth grade, he bought a 1953 Chrysler Fire-Dome V-8 and rebuilt it in a friend’s family barn. Since then, Rick has bought and restored over 45 classic cars, most recently a ’66 Corvette Big Block Coupe. Rick was a Pre-Med major in college and holds an M.A. in Physiology and Health Science, a Ph.D. in Public Health, and a post-doc from Johns Hopkins University. He has served as a Professor, Chair, and Dean at several Universities and even as a Provost at a medical school. Most recently, however, he’s worked as a Docent at the Mullin Automotive Museum, where during the pandemic, he’s helped develop an educational online series called under the “Under The Hood,” allowing friends of the Mullin to take a deep-dive into some of the collection’s rarest and most exquisite cars.
