Chester Allen is a lifelong journalist and the Executive Editor of Linkage magazine and the linkagemag.com website. He spent more than 20 years in the newspaper business as a reporter, editor and columnist before transitioning to magazines when he joined Sports Car Market where he was their executive editor from 2010 to 2020. Chester is also a veteran freelance writer/photographer, with published stories in many outdoor magazines and websites. He is the author of several books on fly fishing and outdoor travel. Chester built his first car, a 1965 Ford Mustang, in high school shop class. It was a car that was missing the engine and transmission and he brought it back to life. Chester sees cars as historical documents, time machines if you will, that exude coolness.
