Joan Klatil Creamer became General Motors first female ‘Exterior Designer” for Production Cadillac and Advanced Buick after graduating from Cleveland Institute of Art in Industrial Design. Her next career move was with General Electric in Consumer Electronics, Appliances, and Wiring. She then started her own freelance business in product design and earned clients including: Waterford Crystal, Tiffany, and Mikasa, Danbury Mint, Tupperware, and Lenox Collections to name a few. Joan was invited to be a member of the League of Retired Automobile Designers, designing a concept car each year with other designers, just for fun. She’s published, authored and illustrated six children’s books and continues to create fine art paintings and freelance work in automotive design.
