William Jeanes has been a major figure in automotive journalism for more than three decades. He became a staff writer for Car and Driver in 1972 after 10 years in the ad agency business, and eventually became the editor-in-chief at that magazine. He was senior VP and Group publisher at Hachette Magazines, and founded Classic Automobile Register and AMI Auto World Weekly. William has earned numerous press awards from a wide variety of publications throughout his career. His latest book it titled The Road To Pickletown and it is not what you would expect from an automotive journalist. It showcases his wit and humor that characterized his writing for automotive magazines. With the forward by political satirist and journalist P.J O’Rourke, by the end you’ll have learned how Pickletown, Mississippi, earned its name and why this automotive journalist’s heart, is rooted deeply in the Magnolia State.
