Karlo Flores and his navigator Juan Carlos Salgado won the 2020 Sport Mayor class of La Carrera Panamericana. Long celebrated as one of the most intense, grueling challenges in motorsports, La Carrera is an epic undertaking for teams given the seven days and 2,000 mile endurance run through the winding tight roads of Southern Mexico. They race through towns, mountain roads, akin to the days of the Targa Florio and Mille Miglia. This was the thirty-fifth consecutive running of this Mexican motorsports classic. Karlo piloted a Gulf livery 1965 tribute GT40 Mk 1. But this is not his only race as he’s run the La Carrera since 2015 in a Porsche 356 and 911 earning two firsts, two seconds and a fourth in class and he has also raced the Chihuahua Express four times.
