J.K. Kelly is an automotive author who first got hooked on motorsports after attending his first NASCAR event at Pocono. In his early years he sold his motorsports photographs to magazines and submitted feature stories which lead to more work. He landed a job as the PR Director for Darrell Waltrip and the DiGard/Gatorade 88 NASCAR team. He worked at VP Racing Fuels as their Regional manager for the Northeast and spent 30 years there, eventually being named Director of Sales and Marketing. He retired when the company was sold and got back into writing. He wrote Fuelin’ Around about his time in motorsports and his most recent novel is titled Deadly Driver and blends his love for storytelling with his writing skills and the experience he had working with government agencies while at VP Racing Fuels and the time he spent in motorsports.
