Larry Smith is the Founding Chairman of the newly formed Henry Ford Driver’s Club and has an active role at the Concours in the Hills. He is a judge at numerous prestigious concours including Amelia Island Concours, Meadow Brook, the Louis Vuitton in Paris and London, automotive art at Pebble Beach and others. He’s also the owner of several major award-winning automobiles. His collection’s theme is “What Larry Likes” and a few favorites are a 1936 Stout Scarab and a 1936 Hoffman X-8. He was the Founder of Autometric Collision, a company he started with seed money from the sale of an old Bentley. He was only 23 at the time. That business grew to 9 locations in the Metro Detroit area with 165 employees. He sold the business 6 years ago to a national company.
