David Hinton is the President of Historic Sportscar Racing. Originally from Coventry England David moved to the USA when he was 20 years old. He worked his way up as a mechanic, working for his father, and eventually owning his own shop with his wife Denise. He bought a controlling interest in HSR in 2012 and started several new events including the Classic 24 Hours at Daytona and Classic 12 Hour at Sebring. Historic Sportscar Racing organizes approximately 8 events a year. David has been president of HSR for over 9 years and was part owner until Jan of this year when IMSA purchased HSR. He also owns a race team called Heritage Motorsport where they maintain approx. 30 different cars for clients from around the USA and Europe. Historic Sportscar Racing has sanctioned the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion.

David, I saw your Mark 1 for sale on bring a trailer. I didn’t bid on it but I do know the car. I met you at Elkhart Lake a couple years ago. You sat me down in the car.
