Lyn St. James has raced for over 40 years. She was the 1992 Indy 500 Rookie of the Year and she’s a seven-time Indy 500 driver. She’s earned victories at Daytona 24 Hours, Sebring 12 Hours, Watkins Glen, Road America and set 21 national and international closed course speed records of over 225 mph. She is an author, a motivational speaker, serves on the Automobile Competition Committee of the United States, board and Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Council, the FIA Women in Motorsports Commission, NASCAR’s Appeals Commission, IndyCar’s Appeals Council, and IUPUI Motorsports Advisory Board. Lyn is a Co-founder of Women in Motorsports North America, a public charity to support and advance opportunities for women in motorsports. Her awards and recognitions are numerous and include her most recent 2022 inductee into the Automotive Hall of Fame. Lyn is the Grand Marshal of the Chattanooga Motorcar Festival this year.
