Harry Hurst is Director of Programs for the Simeone Museum in Philadelphia, an institution he helped Dr. Frederick Simeone launch in 2008. As part of his role, Harry put his 35 years of marketing experience to use in producing brochures and conceiving the unique “Demo Days” at the museum. His interest in cars goes back to his first car, a 1953 MG TD that he still owns. This led to his first career as an English sports car mechanic and shop owner. He’s written service training manuals for Jaguar and worked as Technical Representative for DeLorean. His advertising clients included: Exide, Dana, SKF, MAHLE, Odyssey, and Black & Decker. While still in college, he was track photographer for the Sebring 12-Hour race in Florida. He also photographed races at Daytona and Road Atlanta during what many enthusiasts feel were the “glory days of racing.” He is a published author and Founder of the Facebook group, “Glory Days of Racing” that is approaching 50,000 members.
