Chuck Stanford is the Co-Founder and Selection Committee Chair of the Arizona Concours taking place on Sunday, January 22. This event starts off the New Year concours circuit and Arizona Auctions week. This concours recently announced its rebirth in Scottsdale for January 2023. A lifelong aficionado of classic car engineering and design, Chuck has been an active leader in the Mercedes-Benz Club of America including being elected three times to their National Board and serving as National Concours Chair.  Today he is a “Trip Leiter” for the club’s member tours in Stuttgart.  Along with his wife Ava, they are consistent podium rally enthusiasts, and have a pristine 1970 280 SL “Pagoda” that they’ve shown at Concours in San Marino, Monterey, and La Jolla. In addition to judging at no fewer than six national MBCA Concours, Chuck has also judged at the Hilton Head Concours d’Elegance and at the Cobble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Chuck’s business experience was in the aviation, financial and accounting world where he spent 20 years as CEO/COO leading aviation and manufacturing businesses.
