Tony Dow was a film producer, director, television actor, sculptor and a lifelong automotive enthusiast. You’ll remember him for his role in the television sitcom Leave It To Beaver that ran on primetime from 1957 to 1963. Tony of course played Wally Cleaver, the eldest son of June and Ward and the wise older brother of Theodore Beaver Cleaver. He has appeared in numerous television shows since then and was honored by the young Artists Foundation with its Former Child Star Lifetime Achievement Award. His creative talents go far beyond the screen and Tony has created wood and bronze sculptures for many years. His work has been on display in exhibitions in many venues including the Carrousel du Louvre. Past Cars Yeah guest Fireball Tim just created an automotive coloring book titled The Official Tony Dow Coloring Book. How cool is that?
We lost Tony in July of 2022.
