Jeremy Berger is a film producer and director from Brooklyn who founded HooptieFilms. His feature debut, ‘Hoopties’, will be released on April 4th, 2023. Hoopties tells the tale of three teams of automotive enthusiasts, who are desperately trying to win the 24 Hours of Lemons, an endurance car race for vehicles purchased for under $500. Hoopties took home the Best Documentary Award at Skyline Indie Film Fest, Sugar Loaf Film Festival, and the Maryland International Film Festival. Jeremey also teaches a class at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan.

INSPIRATION
Jeremy was enthralled by the people and back stories around the drivers and the builds that are raced in the 24 Hours of Lemons race.
CHALLENGES
Jeremy’s biggest challenge was the process of a single camera shoot, getting around the track, and capturing everything he wanted to create his documentary.
