Kelly Crandall has been on the NASCAR beat full-time since 2013. She  joined RACER.com as chief NASCAR writer in 2017 and her work has also appeared in NASCAR.com, NASCAR Illustrated magazine, and NBC Sports. A corporate communications graduate from Central Penn College, Kelly is a two-time George Cunningham Writer of the Year recipient from the National Motorsports Press Association (NMPA) and is currently in her second term serving as the organization’s president. She’s also the host of Racing Writers Podcast where she interviews and shares stories from drivers and personalities in NASCAR, NHRA, and others. Her first book is titled NASCAR 75 years which she co-authored with Al Pearce, Mike Hembree and Jimmy Creed. It is an illustrated story of NASCAR stock racing in America, a decade-by-decade history of celebrations, photography, and legendary drivers and teams. Her book is published by Motorbooks.
