Tom Seward is the Account Director on the Ecobat team supporting the Automotive space. Ecobat is a world’s biggest battery recycler meeting essential energy storage needs by making the business of batteries safer and more sustainable for a circular energy economy. His career started in the waste industry, first in the UK, then working in South America. His work in waste management and evolved into waste battery recycling. Tom joined Ecobat in 2017, initially as Commercial Director managing the chemistries of end-of-life batteries from portable house batteries up to extremely large submarine batteries. He is passionate about the automotive world with a focus on two wheels rather than four. His first motorbike was a moped, a bike he purchased at the age of 14. Today he rides an electric scooter, powered by lead acid batteries and is on his way into the high-tech world of future mobility.

INSPIRATION

Tom’s first manager, during his graduate program, taught him how not to manage people. Then his first manager at a job taught him the proper way to manage people and how to be successful.
