Ray Iddings got his start in automotive entertainment in 2005 when he developed, produced, and hosted an Internet Radio Show. This led to Ray becoming a Producer and eventually a Show Runner, having produced and developed multiple unscripted series for 16 years. Ray has produced hundreds of hours of television, webisodes, and music videos. He produced several successful shows for Fox’s Speed Network including PassTime, the first automotive game show, Drag Race High, shows for MTV, MavTV, MotorTrend, Food Network, CMT,  and Outdoor Channel. Ray joined Brian Bassone a year ago to launch Speedtube TV, a streaming automotive channel that just changed its name to PowerTube TV.

INSPIRATION

Producing shows is a collaborative venture and Rich Christianson suggested to Ray that he could be a producer. Martin Fisher, who owned High Five Entertainment where Ray worked for years, was another inspiration. Finally, Clay Millican, 6-time top fuel champ, provided Ray with a lot of inspiration and advice.

CHALLENGES

Ray got involved with a show that turned out to not be what he was told which resulted in him leaving the show before it was completed.
