Michael Milne is an automotive writer, author, and nomad. In 2011 he and his wife Larissa quit their jobs, sold their house, gave away their possessions, and took off from their hometown of Philadelphia to travel around the world. After twelve years, they are still on the road as full-time global adventurers, sharing their journey on their website, Changes In Longitude. Michael writes articles for Hemmings Motor News, Octane, Classic & Sports Car, AAA, the Philadelphia Inquirer, and other publications. From Abu Dhabi to Pyongyang to Zagreb, they have visited hundreds of classic car sights, museums, and events. His latest book is titled 75 Top Car Museums – Europe & America: A Collection of Magazine Articles. Along with Jay Leno, Michael is on the Judging Panel for the annual Historic Motoring Awards in the UK.

INSPIRATION

Editor John Moyer pushed Michael to elevate his writing standards. Theresa Madoff is another person who has helped keep Michael on his toes.

CHALLENGES

A publisher contacted Michael to create a travel guide. The company was sold between the time he submitted the manuscript and the date the guide was actually published. That changed everything for him. From that experience, he decided to self-publish all his future books.
