Matthieu Tardy is the Vice President and Managing Director of Constellium’s global Automotive Structures business. He holds a Master’s Degree in Finance from Dijon University in France. Matthieu has built up extensive experience in finance and management. After joining the company in 2006, and throughout his career at Constellium, Matthieu has held crucial positions in finance. Before taking up his current position, he served as both Business Unit CFO and VP Group Controller. Automotive Structures is a tier-one supplier of innovative aluminum automotive safety and structural components, supplying automakers all over the world. In his current role, Matthieu has full P&L responsibility, leading 10 sites in Europe, North America, and China, with more than 2300 employees.

INSPIRATION

Matthieu’s grandmother taught him the important principles of life. Another important mentor was Paul, his former boss, who was the first to believe in Matthieu and to support his potential.

CHALLENGES

When he was a child, Matthieu’s obsession was basketball and he played for almost 12 years. He was a very good player but not good enough to make it a career, so he stopped playing at 16 to focus on his studies.
