Actor Luis Da Silva Jr. is best known for his memorable roles in the blockbuster films, “Fast Five” and “Fast X”. He will be the Grand Marshal of the Sixth Annual Philadelphia Concours D’Elegance on June 23-24, at the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum in Philadelphia. Luis is a Porsche fan and an honorary member of the Schattenbaum region of the Porsche Club of America which celebrated its 50th anniversary this year. Luis drives a bright, lizard green Porsche 911 GT3 (997) street racer in “Fast X,” the most recent film in the “Fast and Furious” franchise, now playing in theaters and streaming on Amazon Prime. In movies over the years, he has driven several models of the marque that is celebrating its 75th Anniversary this year at the Concours dubbed “Porsche-delphia.” Luis’s first Porsche was a 986 Boxster that he customized with vertical scissor doors. It was the first of its kind in 2001 in the custom-car world.

INSPIRATION
Luis was inspired by family members who were mechanical and technical in the car world and who provided him with positive influences.
CHALLENGES
Luis had the opportunity to sign with the Harlem Globetrotters early in his career and decided not to. At the time, it was a very difficult decision, but one he later realized was the right choice as it opened up opportunities for him in the movie industry.
