Chris Story is a motorsports photographer who focuses on drag racing. He was born in Durango, Colorado and his family moved a lot when Chris was a kid. He joined the Army at 17 to pursue a career in IT and later worked on cars. Eventually Chris felt like there was more in life that he wanted to do and began chasing his passion in photography, something he’s done for over 10 years. For the past 3 years it has been his profession. He shoots drag racing and more specifically Drag and Drive events. Chris’s enjoyment comes from covering and documenting history, capturing moments for the drivers and people so that their experiences can be captured for a lifetime.

Chris’s uncle was a great help in guiding him toward his career. Photographer Larry Chen as been an inspiration to Chris in the world of photography.

Learning that timing is everything. He quit his day job at the end of racing season making it getting into racing photography very difficult.
