You’re trying hard not to show it but baby you know it, you’ve lost that lovin’ feelin’.
At some point we fall out of love with a vehicle that was once our baby. The reasons are varied and it can happen slowly over time. Or it can happen over night. Sometimes it’s the day after you made the purchase. Or it may come on after spending some time behind the wheel. The fantasy didn’t match reality. Perhaps there are service issues that you just can’t get corrected and the car continues to disappoint you.
The 7 signs that you’ve lost that lovin’ feelin’.
- You stop making minor repairs.
- You can’t find any reason to apply that 10th coat of wax.
- You stop going in to the garage just to stare or sit in the car.
- You’ve got a lack of motivation to tinker with or work on your vehicle.
- You stop driving your baby to events and take your daily driver instead.
- You spend more time searching for something new than you do with your car.
- When it’s time to renew your collector car insurance you’re bummed about spending the money.
Is there any way to bring back that lovin’ feelin’ or is it gone, gone, gone?
What has made you fall out of love with your once favorite ride?
Boredom… sometimes. I’m not as bad as I used to be, but I’ve had neighbors comment that I change cars like underwear. I’m just always looking for the next car or truck to call my own. I’ve been that way since high school.
I tell ya, I haven’t been bored since middle school. Boredom is seldom the problem unless you yourself are a boring person. To reignite the passion you gotta go back to the basics and look at what really excites you. The foundations of excitement within your mind and soul will bring you back to what brings you joy.
Great comments. Thank you.
