When I was a kid I loved Porsches. I still do. A neighbor up the street had a 356 and that car made my mind wander. I could imagine driving one to the beach, with my surfboard hanging out of the back, top down, wind in my hair (yeah, I had hair back then), and the sound that engine made at 4500 rpm was oh-so-wonderful.
But I was just a kid.
At my first job out of college I hung a poster of a red Porsche above my desk. It was a visual reminder of what could be in my garage one day. It was in my face every morning when I arrived at the office and at the end of every late night.
Visualizing your goals is a strong motivator.
It can be really difficult to imagine something that seems so far out of reach. That special vehicle you want. A career in a field you are passionate about. A dream home or better yet, a dream garage. But it’s the fuel that will ignite your dreams.
Imagining is your first step to getting there.
What are you imagining?
