Norman-Mayersohn

Norman Mayersohn spent 11 years at The New York Times, where he served as the deputy editor of the paper’s Automobiles section. At The Times, he was responsible for assigning and editing articles that covered a broad array of topics, including new model reviews, technology, environmental issues, travel, and motorsports. Norman also led the expansion of Autos coverage to online platforms, including a blog, email newsletter, social media outreach and real-time coverage of key events. Norman’s first journalism job was at Car Craft magazine, a Petersen Publishing title in Los Angeles where his office was just down the hall from Hot Rod magazine.

  1. Please call me when you get a chance to discuss the great article you authored on 4-27-17 “Shortage of Auto Mechanics has Dealerships Taking Action”. I am the Chairman/CEO of NYADI, the college of Automotive and Diesel Technology, located in Jamaica Queens. This institution recently made history in our state and I would be honored to tell you all about it. My number is 718-327-2220. Looking forward to hearing from you. Michael J Hatten.

I like you article about not rod reunion, however you have misquoted the facts about rear engined dragsters. Garlitts did not invent the rear engined dragster. Please review the facts. Yes Garlits was the first driver to win with a RED but it was developed by the Kaiser Brothers, Widmer and Mark Williams from Denver. Please check the NHRA hall of fame info about Jr. Kaiser and correct this info.
