The Roman Statesman and Philosopher Seneca comes to mind when someone tells me he, or she, is lucky. In reality the difference between lucky and unlucky people is in their perspective.
Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.
Think back to when you felt lucky and most likely you’ll discover that there were events you controlled that lead up to that lucky moment. Nearly every one of the racers I’ve had the honor of interviewing talks about the importance of preparation. Even when a competitor’s car breaks down the winner rarely calls that good luck.
Prior proper preparation prevents poor performance.
So next time you begin a venture, tackle it with proper preparation and I suspect your luck will improve.
