Far too often our mind sticks us in the same place. We fall in to a rut and view things the same way, over and over and over again. In the world of cars, far too often that five point harness stays cinched too tight, making it difficult to see things in a different way.
Learn how to loosen your harness.
I just returned from Car Week in Carmel/Monterey/Pebble Beach. The enormity of cars each year is overwhelming, yet if offered me a wonderful opportunity to look at things in a different way. Sometimes all you need to do is change your perspective. Get down low. Tip your head to the side. And learn to really listen to what your seeing. In Cars Yeah interviews #559 and 560, Chris Bangle talks about being given the advice to bend over and look at a car upside down and between your legs. Really.
Maybe Cupid’s arrow will strike you.
Learning how to look at something differently will improve your life. It will open your world to new experiences and opportunities. Try it next time you look at a car. And if someone asks you what the heck are you doing looking between your legs, tell ’em Chris told you it was okay.
You may be surprised at what you fall in love with.
I agree…..This applies to Automotive artists as well…..
