E.C. Mueller is the Manager at the Portland International Raceway. The track hosted its first race in 1961 and by 1965 it was hosting regular drag races, motorcycle races, and road coarse racing. Over the years PIR has hosted Can Am races and numerous other venues including historic races, club events, and drag racing. The 1.967 mile, 12-turn course is challenging and fun and includes a long straightaway when the chicane is blocked. Before managing the track E.C. spent 10 years at Nissan Motor Company in Los Angeles and after college he worked with a professional sports car road racing team.
