INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE
If you can dream it, you can be it. Don’t quit. Don’t give up. You’ll get roadblocks, you get setbacks, you start having doubts…If you believe in a career path, a journey for your life, just keep at it.
CAREER & LIFE CHALLENGES
My first job as an automotive journalist, was working for Automobile Magazine, and it was my dream job. I was surrounded by great writers, and great people, and about 6 months later, it all fell apart. I just couldn’t relax, and couldn’t perform, and I lost my job. I had a hard time finding finding another job because I was “damaged goods,” and only 25 or 26 years old. I managed to get a job with a public relations agency that had the Detroit Auto Show with Ford as a big client. They hired me, and I had such an edge and determination about me that I was determined to succeed. They loved me and promoted me. I learned that I have to work harder than I think I have to, and really hit it out of the park! I have been more determined and driven ever since.
FIRST SPECIAL VEHICLE
The first new car I bought for myself was a 1987 Honda Civic SI. It was black with no options, and I literally drove the car off the showroom floor. It was very efficient and fun to drive.
