The Value of Your Word

As the business world becomes more relaxed so it seems does the attitude that being on time isn’t important.

It is.

Being late, for anything, is and always has been: Rude. Disrespectful. Costly. Inconsiderate. Sloppy. Disorganized. Flaky. Unacceptable.

Sometimes a true emergency happens, or a challenge transpires. When it happens, I give a very detailed account of why I was late and I apologize profusely.

Ensure that it won’t happen again.

Being punctual means you are caring, considerate, and thoughtful of others. Wouldn’t it be nice if people simply did what they said they would do? Thank you Mom for that valuable lesson way back when I was a child.

  1. I was always told the when you are early you are on time, when you are on time you are late, and when you are late you are fired. A great rule to adhere too.
