Wayne Craig has a lifelong passion for automobiles and serves a number of concours at events around the country. He’s the Docent Chairman at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, the Race Car Chair and board member of the Ironstone Concours, he is on the Car Sourcing Committee and is the Lead Docent at the La Jolla Conours, a Docent at the Blackhawk Auto Museum, a Docent and leads the Hagerty Jr. Judges Program at the Hillsborough Concours and he is a photojournalist for various automotive publications. As if that isn’t enough, Wayne is the President and CEO of the Lodi Memorial Hospital Foundation.

CAREER & LIFE CHALLENGES
One of my biggest challenges was in the business world. I built a series of real estate companies and was quite successful until the savings and loan crisis. I ended up giving back six companies, and I had to start all over. But, it allowed me to get my head on straight. I was able to become involved in the world of philanthropy, which showed me what is really important in the world. Another challenge was after having an automobile accident in 2004 in my Mercedes. I banged my head against the window, and two years later, I had a hemorrhagic stroke. I was in an induced coma for 32 hours. There’s about a 3% survival rate from that, but I’m a man of faith, and I think God interceded and had other things for me to do.
FIRST SPECIAL VEHICLE
The first really special car I had was a 1986 Porsche Turbo. I drove that car 77,000 miles.
