Roger Falcione is the founder of ClassicCars.com. He was one of the first to understand the importance of online classifieds in relation to the classic car market. He created a ground-breaking online marketplace built on the love of technology and classic cars. Ten years later the company has seen tremendous growth and in 2015, 2016 and 2017 was recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in the United States as part of the Inc. 5000.  In 2018 the marketplace attracts over 2.5 million visits a month, has 30,000 vehicles for sale, supports the largest online network of classic car dealers and auction houses, and delivers daily industry-leading news coverage. ClassicCars.com has become the trusted home of the collector car enthusiast.

INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE

Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat. – Theodore Roosevelt

CAREER & LIFE CHALLENGES

I was in the energy business before becoming an entrepreneur. Shortly after starting my company to help energy companies with de-regulation, the Enron failure basically buried the company. It was an outside source creating havoc. I learned that failures are ok as long as you learn from them. They often make you better. Also, businesses go up and down, and it’s important to be aware of that.

FIRST SPECIAL VEHICLE

My first really special car, which was a 1969 Camaro Rally Sport. I had so much fun in that car and it still brings smiles to my face when I think about it.

BEST AUTOMOTIVE ADVICE

For my wife, slow down. From my dad, your car is basically an extension of yourself. Keep it clean and make sure to keep it up to date.

RECOMMENDED RESOURCE

Jalopnik

RECOMMENDED BOOKS

I love historical books. One of the last books I read was Thomas Jefferson: The Art of Power.

PARTING WORDS OF ADVICE

Do unto others as you would want them to do unto you. In business, always put the customer first.

  1. It’s really too bad that Roger isn’t really a car guy. He is just a business man who has no appreciation for cars — or creativity. A complete asshole in my book. Sad that he represents himself to the public as some sort of authority.
