By age 21, I started a business and by age 25, I had made my first million dollars! By age 26, I lost that money and then some. I didn’t have a contingency plan, so it caused a whirlwind of problems. I wasn’t as involved in the business as I should have been, and losing that amount of money caused me many sleepless nights! It was a wake-up call, for sure. I started over in a completely different business, in a completely different industry. The business is still growing at a rapid pace. It’s growing at about a 60-70% increase in sales every month. I would say that keeping your ego in check, and to really put in the work will help avoid the kinds of mistakes I made. Always know what’s going on in your business, and monitor the overall health of your company.
