INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE

Get busy living or get busy dying.

CAREER & LIFE CHALLENGES

As a freelance journalist, I pitch 20-30 stories a week, and it is not unusual for me to be turned down 75-85 percent of the time. Many journalists take it personally when they’re turned down, and I tell them not to. I was on Facebook recently, and I came across a story I wrote on Victor Sheppard. It was one of my most successful stories, and I had previously been turned down 10 times before that story. I’ve learned to keep writing and pitching stories regardless of how many failures I receive.

FIRST SPECIAL VEHICLE

A 1962 Chevy C10 was my first special vehicle.
