INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE
You can have everything you want in life if you’re willing to work hard enough for it. – Coach Bob Carragher
CAREER & LIFE CHALLENGES
I was very tenacious as a kid, but I had my fair share of failures. I had a coach to tell me that at the end of the Super Bowl, you have teams doing very different things. One team is celebrating in the locker room pouring champagne on each other, and the other is studying films to see how they can improve. Try to win how a loser looks at it. Celebrate and enjoy it, but don’t be so exorbitant in your winning that you don’t learn from it. I’ve learned that when things go wrong, take a hard look at them, be willing to listen to others, adjust your plans, and keep moving forward.
FIRST SPECIAL VEHICLE
My first car was a 1962 Ford Fairlane that I shared with my sister. I sold it to my sister so that she had sole ownership of it. I bought a 1965 Mustang, which I learned later was delivered to Shelby as a mule car. It wasn’t worked on, it just sat out front for sale. A baggage handler from the LA Airport bought the car, and when he went to Vietnam, I bought it. I didn’t really even know the history of the car until I went through the paperwork before selling it.
