CAREER & LIFE CHALLENGES
Prior to racing, I worked for a retailer in the consumer electronics industry. I took a new job with a different retailer and started the process of moving from New England to Virginia. After moving, the job didn’t turn out to be as great as I’d hoped. I ended up quitting before I had another job lined up. It was a risky move, especially since I had a family and a mortgage. Within a month after leaving, I was hired at iRacing. If I hadn’t taken the risk, I’d still be there doing a job that paid the bills, but not very enjoyable. I recommend to someone in a similar situation just to follow his gut.
FIRST SPECIAL VEHICLE
I have always been a Porsche nut like my father, who was a Porsche nut forever. In 2001, I bought a Porsche 944 S2, and it was my first special car.
BEST AUTOMOTIVE ADVICE
Have patience! Every project I’ve ever undertaken has taken at least 4 times as long as I’d thought.
