Kris Clewell is a published author, photographer, filmmaker, road trip explorer, and prolific mistake maker. He works on his 1972 Porsche 911, and the constantly changing carousel running through his garage in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Kris has owned over 50 cars in the last 20 years including everything from 10 or more VW Rabbits, a Yugo GV, a 200,000 mile Porsche 996 911, a BMW e30 Touring, and a Mercedes C43 AMG. In the last 7 years of ownership, he’s driven his ’72 911 over 60,000 miles around the United States, taking its portrait, and writing its biography wherever it takes him. In 2017 he released Das Ziel, an hour-long documentary film on one of these journeys. He has worked for Road and Track, 000 Magazine, Porsche Panorama, Jalopnik, Octane, and many other publications. Kris is also a host of the Overcrest Podcast, one of the fastest-growing automotive podcasts in the nation.
