Emily Lowdermilk is an automotive technician at Northwest Motorsport in the Pacific North West. In 2016 she founded Blue Collar Babes, a community on Facebook and Instagram for women in male dominated industries. Her goal is to find more women in blue collar trades, inspiring them and bringing them together to support and empower one another. Emily’s automotive journey began in 2010 when she worked as an intern at SharkWerks, an aftermarket Porsche performance shop in Fremont, California. That experience led her to her attending school at De Anza College and earning three Associate of Science degrees in Automotive Technology. Over the last ten years Emily has worked in the automotive industry as a service advisor, an assistant manager, and in quality control at Snap On Diagnostics, and today as a technician.
