Tim Matthews is the Curator of Transportation, Motorsports, and Automobilia at Speedway Motors Museum of American Speed. From childhood Tim has always been inspired and fascinated with automotive history and vintage automotive toys. Prior to his current role Tim worked on the business side of Speedway Motors as director of the hot rod and race technical sales support teams. Tim holds a BFA in studio sculpture from Augustana University and went on to continue studies in advanced metal casting and kinetic sculpture in Europe, the University of Minnesota, and the University of Nebraska. In his spare time Tim builds traditionally inspired hot rods and continues to create automotive inspired art.
