Michael Mitchell is the Curator of Collections at the BMW Car Club of America Foundation Museum. The Foundation is part of the BMW Car Club of America, an organization of over 60,000 members. Their vision is to be a living repository of BMW information and to benefit the motoring community. The Foundation has two key initiatives: Education through their Tire Rack Street Survival and teen driver safety program and history through their library, archives, and museum. That’s where Michael comes in, he was the first one hired for the Foundation having started there in 2001. What started as some books donated to the Foundation has grown to over 80,000 items and major exhibits and displays. Michael is also a Navy veteran.
