Mercedes Lilienthal is an award-winning photojournalist and PR/marketing consultant that creates unique content involving vehicular adventure travel, the automotive industry as a whole, and women making a difference within it. Along with writing for notable publications like The New York Times, Mercedes is the Editor-at-Large for TREAD magazine and also a Feature Editor at Toyota Cruisers and Trucks. She, along with her husband Andy, run a blog site and related social pages called Crankshaft Culture, where “every vehicle is an adventure.” They are also avid automotive enthusiasts: currently owning three right-hand-drive turbo-diesel 4×4 Mitsubishis, a 1994 Delica Space Gear (aka the TBD Tractor), two Gen 2 short-wheelbase Pajeros, and two customized subcompact daily drivers.
