Welshman David Withers is the CEO of StarterMotor. StarterMotor was founded in 2016 by a group of concerned historic car industry trustees who recognized the aging nature of the classic and vintage car community, and that it was in danger of losing vital skills as the workforce headed for retirement. His past careers have provided valuable experience when it comes to the present mission of ‘putting the next generation in the driving seat’- in other words, ‘putting young people in old cars’. The charity has since been heralding the ’next generation’ imperative and putting it front and central in all its activities from supporting apprenticeships, special events for young people, career fairs, to providing a fleet of classics for young people to use and enjoy.
