Julius Kruta is a freelance historian and automotive advisor. He has been a judge at major Concours in Europe and the USA and is on the Selection Committee at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. While still at university he started working as a consultant for Volkswagen AG in 1999 after the group’s acquisition of the Bugatti brand. After having graduated from University with a thesis on Bugatti, he started his career in 2000 at Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S in the marketing department. In 2003 he became ‘Head of Tradition’ of Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. Julius held this position until summer 2018. He co-authored of the six publications on the Bugatti marque, the latest one being ‘Bugatti Type 50 Le Mans’ together with Mark Morris, published by Porter Press.
