Carey Hines is the President of Special Editions which includes Beck Manufacturing and Beck Automotive Group builders of the Beck Spyder and 904, and the 356 A Speedster and a 356 C Coupe. He grew up in the automotive industry as his father has been involved in specialty cars since 1979 when he joined forces with Chuck Beck in the mid 1980s. Carey started working in the shop the summer of 1990 through 1994 during his high school days. He earned a dual-degree from Youngstown University in Biology and Chemistry with a focus on Psychology and human development. He rejoined the company after college and started taking over the company in 2000 with a goal to move production from South America back to the USA and he is now running the operation. Both his father and Chuck Beck are as retired as they ever will be and today along with his team he works with Chuck’s two sons Randy and Dave.
