Mike Hembree is an author who has written about auto racing for 50 years and has authored 14 books, including 7 racing titles. Today we’ll be focusing on his latest book titled 50 First Victories: NASCAR Drivers’ Breakthrough Wins, a book he co-authored with Al Pearce, published by Octane Press. Mike works for NBC Sports has also worked for USA Today, Autoweek, The Greenville News, The Columbia State, the SPEED Channnel and other publications and websites. His newspaper career also included coverage of the NFL, the NBA, Major League Baseball, The Olympics, and professional golf. He is a seven-time winner of the National Motorsports Press Association Writer of the Year award and has won the American Motorsports Media Award of Excellence.
