Les Duellman is the oldest son of Elmer and Bernadette Duellman, who founded Elmer’s Auto and Toy Museum in 1993. He spent much of his childhood working in the family salvage business and attending to their service station. He started racing on dirt tracks at the age of 13, becoming a track champion at 15 and went on to race for 45 years. Les earned a Bachelor’s of Mechanical Engineering degree from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Michigan. He worked at Ford Motor Company as an engineer and later moved back to the family business, buying it along with his brother where they worked for 30 years. Most recently, he started an online racing/performance supply business, Race-Leader.com. Nearly 800 Pedal Cars, 200 Bicycles Among 2,000 No-Reserve Lots for Mecum Auction at Elmer’s Auto and Toy Museum Classic Cars and More to be Sold September 14-17 in Fountain City, Wisconsin.
