Brett Hatfield is a lifelong automotive enthusiast and has thirty-plus-years as a member of the National Corvette Restorers Society. He fell in love with cars at the age of four, riding in his father’s 1972 Corvette convertible in Elkhart Green. Brett studied Auto Restoration and Business Management at McPherson College. He has sold cars for Chevrolet, owned a Corvette dealership, an auto storage warehouse, and detailing business. Brett is the host of the Driven Radio Show podcast, is a senior auction analyst for Sports Car Market magazine, a contributing author of GM Authority, Ford Authority, and Cadillac Society. His car collection includes a 1960 Corvette that he acquired when he was 18, and a 1965 Corvette Sting Ray convertible.

Regarding the 3-door Suburban…
The 1967 to 1972 3-Door Suburban had one door on the driver side and two on the passenger side. Dewitt’s thought was to take the Suburban cab and mate it with a pick-up bed. General Motors ended the 3-door Suburban when it decided an even number of doors was more popular. They added the 4th door in 1973 with the new body style. If you have a 3-door or can get your hands on one, hold on to it!!
